About Us

The New Frontier of Bartow County, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was established on February 22, 1962, by eleven "Founding Fathers". They envisioned an organization, which would bridge the gap and ease the transition from segregation to integration without destroying the Community. In the face of relentless oppression unmerciful persecution, these true pioneers of the Bartow County Community, not only braved adversity of epic proportions, but persevered, flourished, and chartered a course that would promote racial harmony without losing “our” identity.

The Organization's mission: to work for the betterment of all citizens of Bartow County; to seek the election of the best qualified candidates; to work for better job opportunities for African-Americans; and assist in educational progress.

And now, 52 years later, the New Frontier remains more viable than ever and continues to stay the course originally conceived.
